Warriors sometimes wore rubies for their protective abilities during battle.

Selenite crystals are one of the more powerful healing stones for New Age spiritual work.
Their primary influence is on the subtle energy bodies of the human form,
connecting light energy with the physical being.

Selenite crystal is said to exist between the material and the ethereal, which its delicate physical form represents.
All selenite stones share the fundamental properties of the mineral.
In addition, it's said that each color and variety has additional properties unique to that specific stone.
• Blue selenite is perfect for improving meditation, as it quiets the mind
• Green selenite improves positive self-image, and helps to slow aging of the skin and bones
by reversing the effects of free radicals
• Brown selenite transmits higher energies to the earth
• Desert rose selenite fortifies purpose
• Fishtail selenite is beneficial for the nerves, calming and stabilizing,
and is very well tuned with the angelic consciousness.
Selenite crystal is both a very powerful stone and a very delicate stone.
Because it is powerful, it should only be used responsibly, with the most positive intentions.
For metaphysical practices, the use of this healing crystal, without proper guidance and training,
can have unexpected results.
Also, selenite should be used in conjunction with a grounding stone, such as hematite or boji stone.

Boji stones: known as the "Stones of Humanity," are very powerful in their healing properties
and are often used by healers to align one's energy field.
they are separated as male and female stones and are frequently known to have androgynous qualities.
Male stones are outnumbered greatly by female stones and are uneven and sharp.

Hematite is one of the best-known grounding stones.
It's believed that hematite's stabilizing energy can absorb and disburse negative thoughts and emotions.
Hematite is a form of iron ore. Its name derives from the Latin word "haimatites" meaning "blood-like,"
due to the blood red color of the mineral when in a powdered state.
The reason Mars appears red is due to its own high content of iron compounds.
In ancient Egypt, hematite was used in death and rebirth ceremonies.
It was also utilized as an inscription stone for certain passages from the Book of the Dead.
It was in this part of the world that hematite was also put into service by being made into protection amulets,
and also as jewelry worn by those in mourning.
